Of all the commodities, time is arguably the most valuable, especially since there never seems to be enough of it. It can’t be stored or stockpiled, and one certainly can’t make more of it. For such an ethereal, relative and wholly arbitrary concept, time wields considerable power and influence over our daily lives.

There are many theories when it comes to who invented the concept of time, although most scholars agree that certain ancient civilisations used the moon to reckon time as early as six thousand years ago. Fast forward to around 1500 B.C., and we have the first documented evidence of the day being divided into smaller parts courtesy of the Ancient Egyptians and their use of the sundial.

We have the Ancient Greeks to thank for our division of the day into 24 hours…and who amongst us hasn’t wished that they added a few more to help us get things done?

While we can’t literally “make” more time, it is possible to use the time we do have more efficiently. No time to read? Jam that audiobook while you’re stuck in traffic.  Long hours at the office cutting into your gym time? Take the stairs instead of the elevator or do a couple of chair dips (no, really). Other time management hacks include setting goals, prioritising and making lists of your daily tasks.

These are all great tips but, as an installer, you know how hectic things can get with all the call-outs, breakdowns and tune-ups you need to face on any given day.
