From the 14th until the 16th of May 2019, the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand again played host to Securex South Africa, an annual gathering of professionals from across the security spectrum. The event showcased the very latest innovations from the field of security technology and its allied fields, and featured keynote speeches from some of the foremost thought leaders in this space. Making their long-awaited return to Securex, CENTURION debuted a number of new additions to its commercial product range at the event, including turnstiles, high-volume traffic barriers and bollards, as well as its premium range of door automation solutions.

However, while the CENTURION stand proved to be a massive hit with visitors, much of the action and excitement happened behind the scenes on social media as CENTURION rose to the occasion to generate awareness around the event, ultimately taking home the Securex SA 2019 Award for the Best Social Media Campaign.

The award recognises the exhibitor that created the biggest hype through their online efforts in the weeks leading up to the event. Upon accepting the award on behalf of the company, CENTURION marketing manager Mark O’Brien thanked the organisers of the event, as well as the company’s staff, clients and social media followers for their role in helping CENTURION win the prestigious accolade.
