#CenturionInstallChallenge: Competition Terms and Conditions

The Promoter

1. The competition is run by Centurion Systems (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2001/030056/07, of Unit 13, Northlands Production Park, Epsom Avenue, North Riding, Johannesburg, 2162 (postal address: PO Box 506, Cramerview, 2060) (“Centurion”, “we”, “us”).

Competition period

1. The competition opens at 00:01 on 1 November 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 31 March 2027 (South African Standard Time) (the “Competition Period”).
2. Entries posted before or after the Competition Period will not be included in the draw.

Who may enter

1. The competition is open only to Centurion Certified SMART Trained Installers (CTSI) whose certification is valid both when they enter and on the draw date. Entrants must also be natural persons aged 18 or older, resident in South Africa, with a valid South African ID document, passport or permit. Centurion will check each winner’s CTSI status against its certification records, and entries from people who are not certified will be disqualified.
2. Under section 36(3)(a) of the CPA, the following people may not enter or win: directors, members, partners, employees, agents and consultants of Centurion, or of any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Centurion; and any supplier of goods or services to Centurion in connection with this competition (including its advertising agency). The spouses, life partners, business partners and immediate family members of any of these people are also excluded.
3. Entrants must have a public TikTok account and must comply with TikTok’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

How to enter

1. To enter, during the Competition Period:
   1. film a video of a Centurion gate motor or garage door motor installation that you personally carried out or took part in;
   2. post the video publicly on TikTok;
   3. include the hashtag #CenturionInstallChallenge in the caption; and
   4. tag @centurion.systems in the caption.
2. Entry is free. No purchase is required and no fee is charged to enter. Entrants pay only their own normal data costs to post the video.
3. Each valid video is one entry. There is no limit on the number of entries per entrant, provided every entry follows these rules and is not a duplicate. A repost, or a re-edited version of a video already entered, is a duplicate and will not count as another entry.
4. The video must stay public and must not be deleted until the winners have been confirmed. Entries from private accounts cannot be seen and will not be included.
5. Entries are not judged on quality, skill, workmanship or creativity. All valid entries have an equal chance of being drawn.

Content requirements

1. The entrant confirms that the video is their own original work, that it shows a genuine Centurion product installation, and that they have every consent needed to post it, including the property owner’s permission to film the property.
2. Entrants must not show any personal or security-sensitive information. This includes house numbers, street names, vehicle registration numbers, the faces of homeowners or members of the public without their consent, alarm keypads, access codes and remote-programming steps.
3. Centurion may disqualify any entry that:
   1. shows an unsafe installation or unsafe practice, such as missing or bypassed safety beams, exposed live wiring, or children or pets near a moving gate;
   2. is offensive, defamatory, misleading or unlawful, or infringes anyone’s intellectual property or privacy;
   3. shows a non-Centurion product presented as a Centurion product; or
   4. was made using bots, bought engagement, fake accounts or any other way of gaining an unfair advantage.
4. Entrants keep ownership of their videos. Each entrant gives Centurion a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to share, repost and embed their entry on Centurion’s social media channels and website, with credit to the entrant, for 12 months after the competition closes. An entrant may ask Centurion to remove a repost at any time.

Prizes

1. There are three prizes:
   1. 1st prize: one (1) Centurion D5-Evo SMART+ sliding gate motor only(excl battery)
   2. 2nd prize: one (1) Centurion D3 SMART+ sliding gate motor only(excl battery)
   3. 3rd prize: one (1) set of Centurion Photon SMART wireless safety beams.
2. Prizes are the products only, in the standard kit configuration. Installation, labour, travel, rack, gate hardware and accessories are not included.
3. Prizes come with Centurion’s standard product warranty.
4. Prizes cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged, and cannot be redeemed for cash. If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond Centurion’s control, Centurion may replace it with a product of equal or greater value.
5. Each person may win only one prize.

The draw

1. Three winners, plus three reserve entries, will be drawn at random from all valid entries on 02 April 2027, using randomiser software chosen by Centurion.
2. Before the draw, Centurion will compile a complete list of entries found under the hashtag and through tags of @centurion.systems during the Competition Period, and will remove invalid and duplicate entries.
3. Members of Centurion’s senior management will run the draw.
4. Prizes are allocated in the order drawn: the first valid entry drawn wins 1st prize, the second wins 2nd prize, and the third wins 3rd prize.
5. The result of the draw is final, subject to winners being verified under clause 8.

Winner notification and verification

1. Centurion will contact winners within 5 business days of the draw by direct message from the official @centurion.systems account, and by commenting on the winning video.
2. Winners must reply within 5 business days of being contacted and provide their full name, ID number (for verification only), contact number, CTSI certification number, and delivery or collection details. Each winner must also sign a sworn declaration that they are not connected to Centurion or its marketing service providers in any way that would exclude them under clause 3.2.
3. If a winner does not reply in time, is not eligible, or cannot be verified, they forfeit the prize. The next reserve entry will be contacted.
4. Centurion will never ask a winner to pay any amount, give banking details or share passwords to claim a prize. Report any such request to Centurion on +27 (0)11 699 2400.

Prize delivery

1. Prizes will be delivered free of charge to an address in South Africa, or can be collected from Centurion branch , within 30 days of verification.
2. Under section 36(3)(c) of the CPA, winners will not be charged any fee to receive, collect or use their prize.
3. The winner, or a person they authorise in writing, must sign an acknowledgement when receiving the prize.

Announcement of winners

1. Winners will be announced in April 2027, no later than 30 April 2027, on Centurion’s Facebook page and TikTok account and on www.centsys.co.za, showing their TikTok handle and town.
2. A winner may refuse to take part in any further publicity, marketing or advertising. Accepting a prize does not oblige a winner to take part in any further promotional activity.

Personal information (POPIA)

1. Centurion is the responsible party for personal information collected in this competition.
2. Centurion will collect only what is needed: TikTok handles and entry details from public posts, and, for winners, name, ID number, contact details and delivery details.
3. This information will be used only to run the competition, verify and contact winners, deliver prizes, and meet the record-keeping requirements of the CPA.
4. Centurion will keep competition records for three (3) years, as Regulation 11 of the CPA requires, and will then destroy or de-identify them.
5. Personal information will not be used for direct marketing unless the entrant gives separate, express consent.
6. Entrants may ask to access, correct or delete their personal information, subject to the record-keeping duties above, by contacting Centurion’s Information Officer at [email protected]. Entrants may also complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).

Platform disclaimer

This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, TikTok, Facebook, Meta or WhatsApp. Entrants release those platforms from all liability connected with the competition. Questions about the competition go to Centurion, not to those platforms.

Liability

1. To the extent the law allows, Centurion is not liable for any loss or damage that arises from entering the competition or from using a prize. This does not apply to loss or damage caused by Centurion’s gross negligence or wilful misconduct, and does not limit any rights entrants have under the CPA.
2. Centurion is not responsible for entries that cannot be seen because of platform outages, the TikTok algorithm, private settings or deleted posts.
3. Prizes must be installed by a competent installer according to Centurion’s installation instructions and the relevant safety standards.

Changes, suspension and termination

1. Centurion may change, suspend or end the competition if circumstances beyond its reasonable control require it, or if the law requires it. Any change will be published on www.centsys.co.za and Centurion’s social media channels, and will not reduce entrants’ rights.
2. If the competition ends early, Centurion will hold the draw from the valid entries received up to that point, unless the law prevents it.

General

1. By entering, entrants accept these terms and conditions.
2. If a provision is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
3. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
