Well, the holidays are officially over and, for the vast majority of us, that means going back to work, a fact accompanied by a general soundtrack of groans, sighs and, on occasion, outright weeping.

Hey, we get it. Swapping sweeping ocean vistas for dull spreadsheets and the soothing nocturnal symphony of the bushveld for blaring horns and jackhammers on construction sites is no one’s idea of a good time.

Fortunately, there’s plenty to look forward to in 2018, including an exciting product release slated for early in the year already and, of course, our second Access Automation Expo which promises to be even bigger and better than last year’s landmark event.

As we enter our second full year under the FAAC banner, you can expect to see plenty more of our parent company’s formidable product offering which includes traffic bollards, sliding door automation and a titanic sliding gate motor capable of automating gates weighing up to a whopping three tonnes! To put that spec in perspective, that’s roughly a tonne heavier than an adult white rhino.

On the digital front, our social media community is growing at an astounding rate and, as a token of our appreciation, we’ll be posting heaps of useful content this year with a focus on providing technical tips and video tutorials.

All in all, 2018 promises to be a fantastic year, and we are so excited to have you along for this incredible and magical journey that started more than three decades ago.
